The First Year Archive: How It Began

It started with a client who called me eight months after her newborn session in tears. Not because anything was wrong — because she wished she had more.

"I can't believe how much he's changed," she said. "And I only have those first two weeks."

I thought about that call for months. The First Year Archive was my answer to it.

What a Year Actually Looks Like

A baby's first year is not one thing. It's a series of completely different people, living in the same small body.

There's the newborn: fused and curled and milk-drunk and sleeping seventeen hours a day. There's the three-month-old, suddenly awake and opinionated, discovering hands. There's the six-month-old, upright and laughing and grabbing for everything. And then there's the one-year-old — who stands at the edge of childhood and looks back at you with a whole personality behind their eyes.

Four sessions. Four utterly different children. One continuous story.

What's Included

The First Year Archive includes:

- **Maternity session** (28–36 weeks): The last chapter before
- **Fresh newborn session** (5–14 days): The beginning
- **Six-month milestone session**: The turning point
- **First birthday celebration session**: The full circle

Each session is delivered as a curated gallery of edited digital images. At the conclusion, you'll receive a complete Archive collection — all four galleries — presented as a unified family heirloom.

Why It Matters

Because you won't remember how small the hands were. You won't remember the exact weight of them sleeping on your chest. You'll think you will. You won't.

These photographs will.

That's why we do this.
